BIOGRAPHY |
For 33 years I worked as a planner for cities and counties.
I conducted or assisted with numerous public meetings and technical
committees.
I prepared reports,
agreements,
and minutes for action by boards and commissions. I heard opposing views on
a variety of topics, assisted in bringing forth a consensus,
and prepared final
reports and summary recommendations that reflected the input.
I have learned — and offer — A Better Way which includes
the value of looking at issues from many view points. Local government should
be
forward-looking
and
have
a concern
for those who are less able, poor, aged, or who have special needs. Local
government should live within its means. Planning for the future should include
financial
reserves, expanded opportunities for all citizens, and creating the possibility
for positive growth.
Active
member of the Kiwanis of Central DuPage, the Glen Ellyn Chamber
of Commerce, the First United Methodist Church, the Warming
Center team and others.Richard and his wife, Jane, have lived in Glen Ellyn since 1992.
