I have fought for our Democratic values, our community, and our schools for decades. I’m a Democrat because our government is critical to protecting our rights, creating economic opportunity, strong public education, a clean environment, and access to affordable healthcare.

Accomplishments

• Served ten years on the Glenbard District 87 School Board, including as Board President from 2022-2025

• Helped guide complex budgets while protecting taxpayers and investing in student success

• Led local civic organizations to strengthen voter engagement and accountability

• Affordability: Reduce energy expenses, enhance property tax relief, and support families in managing everyday costs

• Food & Economic Security: Reinforcing food assistance initiatives and community programs in response to reductions in federal support

• Transportation & Infrastructure: Enhancing public transportation systems and improving local infrastructure to meet the needs of the community

• Community Safety & Immigration: Promoting responsible and compassionate policy development that upholds shared values, including pragmatic gun legislation and equitable immigration measures

This Democratic primary is about who will best advance our values and deliver progress. I have a proven history of civic leadership. I’ve shown up for our community and done the work for decades. I earned my degree in accounting from DePaul University, and I bring a career built on fiscal responsibility, careful analysis, and collaboration. 

My husband and I raised three children here, all graduates of the Glenbard school system. I’ve served as President of the League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn, acted in leadership roles for Indivisible DuPage, and was elected four times to the Glenbard District 87 School Board, serving as Board President from 2022-25. 

Voters have chosen me again and again because I listen, build consensus, and focus on getting results. I’m proud to have the endorsement of more than 16 local elected officials, including Congressman Sean Casten, State Senator Laura Ellman, and four County Board members.

As your State Rep., I’m fighting every day in Springfield and having countless conversations with community members at the doors. Every single day, I engage in meaningful dialogue, and collaborate wholeheartedly to create effective solutions. I would be honored to earn your support for a full term.

• Passed bill to convert 529 plans without penalty

• Obtained funds for the McKee House and other local projects

• Cosponsored Dignity in Pay Act (fair wages for people with disabilities)

• Fought to increase Direct Support Professional (DSP) wages
